PALESTINE

Cinema Days

This is Frankfurt Palestine Cinema Days

Two weekends of Palestinian cinema, cultural expression and community dialogue in Frankfurt's public spaces.

01

The Event

What we're building

A grassroots, open-air film series launching in August 2025.

We transform public spaces into venues for Palestinian cinema, reclaiming visibility and accessibility.

02

The Program

What you'll experience

Palestinian films from diverse voices, director talks, and panel discussions.

Live music and spoken word performances that extend the conversation beyond the screen.

03

The Mission

Why it matters

Centering Palestinian voices, histories, and struggles through storytelling.

Building collective resistance and fostering dialogue about justice and liberation.

Why Palestine Cinema Days?

Palestinian cinema

In Germany, where Palestinian voices are often underrepresented, these Days create space for cultural dialogue.

Through film, we share stories that connect and inspire, bringing authentic voices to contemporary storytelling.

Reclaim the right to narrate.

The mission that drives us

Where? We take it to the streets.

Not in a cinema. Going outdoors is both a political act and a necessity. As more cultural venues in Germany close their doors to Palestinian voices, we take to the public spaces.

FRANKFURT

Summer 2025

Parks, plazas, open lots. We're working on it. One thing is clear: we'll be outside.

COORDINATES × VISIBILITY

Public Space

Reclaiming visibility, access, and space in Frankfurt's public areas.

Visibility

Making Palestinian stories visible where they can't be silenced.

Accessibility

Open to everyone, free from institutional gatekeeping.

Statement

Against censorship, for solidarity and cultural justice.

The Program

A cinematic arc over two weekends with full schedule to be revealed. Choosing which stories to put on screen is a huge responsibility. With limited resources and space for only six screenings, we are carefully shaping our curatorial vision. Each film, each side event — be it a talk, a concert, or a reading — is selected with intention. But let's be honest: it's also about funding. The more support we receive, the more stories we can tell.

Solidarity, Not Sponsorship

Palestinian stories deserve to be heard. Help us create space for these voices in Frankfurt.

We couldn't secure institutional funding while maintaining our commitment to speak openly about Palestine—from institutions we can also accept. Your support makes this possible. Every contribution helps cover venue costs, equipment, and security.

Support the Cinema Days

We bring together voices for justice.

We are Frankfurt Palestine Cinema (FPC), a voluntary collective of nine Palestinian and non-Palestinian artists, students, and activists.

Through cinema and cultural expression, we amplify Palestinian voices and challenge dominant narratives.

Mission

Resist erasure and create space for Palestinian self-representation.

Values

Cultural justice, anti-colonial solidarity, and universal human rights.
